This course explains how to apply the Standard to HVAC systems and lists the exceptions and describes the compliance paths. At the completion of this course, you will be able to: Describe the scope of the lighting portion of the Standard; List the building types and lighting systems that are exempt from the Standard; Explain how lighting system alterations meet the Standard; Explain how to calculate the lighting load in cases where wattage varies; List the lighting systems and equipment exempt from lighting power calculations, Explain when automatic shutoff lighting controls are required; List which lighting controls are required by the Standard; List the special conditions and exemptions for lighting controls; List the requirements for tandem ballasting of fluorescent fixtures; List the requirements for exit signs; List the lighting systems and equipment exempt from lighting power calculations; Explain how to determine exterior lighting requirements; Explain how to calculate actual exterior lighting requirements.
