This course provides an overview of maintaining thermal conditions and new building design ideas. Upon completion of this course you will understand: The five main areas that comprise "indoor environmental quality" (IEQ); What constitutes a thermally comfortable environment; Means for energy exchange, energy delivery methods and energy recovery options for outdoor air ventilation; Relationship between indoor air quality (IAQ) and the outdoor air quality, and how HVAC designs influence this interaction, How acoustical concern affect IEQ; New ideas on design of healthy buildings.
