This course discusses the fundamentals of direct current (DC) electrical systems. Upon completing this course, you will be able to: Differentiate between direct current (DC) and alternating current (AC) electrical systems; Describe voltage differential and explain the flow of electrons; Compare a simple electric circuit and a simple hydraulic circuit; Define Ohm’s Law, Inductance, the mathematical equations for power, watt, and heat loss; Explain the effect of inductance on DC electrical circuits, capacitance, the effect of capacitance on DC electrical circuits, power, calculate the effect of capacitance for DC electrical circuits, effect of inductance on DC electrical circuits, and evaluate series electrical circuits and parallel electrical circuits.
