This course teaches the various types of valves and dampers, and their selection, installation and operation.
Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:
Valves:
- Describe piping network and importance of control valves.
- Compare the relationship between pump control and 2-way and 3-way control valves.
- Identify valve types.
- Recognize criteria of valve selection and pressure drop.
Dampers:
- Define types of dampers.
- Recognize damper constructions.
- Outline damper selection, application and installations.
- Describe damper design including pressure drop, leakage and relief damper (barometric) calculation and damper torque
