Details

Standard 90.1 has become the technical basis for meeting the energy efficiency requirements that must be achieved to obtain LEED certification for a commercial building or other facilities. The 2010 version marks a major change to the Standard with a goal of saving 30% more energy than the 2004 version. This course presents an overview of Standard 90.1 and then explains Appendix G, which is an informative appendix in the Standard. Appendix G provides specific guidance on the rules and procedures needed to simulate building energy usage when the objective is to substantially exceed the requirements of the Standard. Appendix G is especially useful for energy simulations connected with LEED credits and with U.S. energy tax credits. This course is targeted at design professionals and building owners, helping them successfully achieve their LEED submission objectives. (Dual), 3.0 PDHs. This course is approved by AIA and GBCI. It can be subscribed to independently, as a part of the Standard 90.1: Energy Standard for Buildings Course Package, or Standards eLibrary.
