This course covers basic refrigeration principles as they apply to commercial and industrial compressors. Topics covered include how to calculate coefficient of performance (COP) and determining compressor horsepower by plotting system conditions on the appropriate refrigerant P-H (Pressure Enthalpy) diagram. The course concludes by addressing simple key performance indicators (KPIs) that can help diagnose and improve refrigeration compressor operating efficiencies. (SI), 1.0 PDH.
